Laser Cutting and Blanking-The Manufacturing of Steel lattice tower
An angle steel tower or lattice tower is not made entirely of angles. Base plates, gusset plates, stiffeners, flanges, and various connection plates are typically steel plate components, while some tubular structures use steel tubes. The cutting accuracy of these parts directly affects the quality of subsequent assembly welding and erection. We have introduced high-power fiber laser cutting machines, ranging from 6000W to 12000W, capable of efficiently cutting medium to thick steel plates and tubes.
Product Info
Laser cutting is a non-contact thermal cutting method featuring narrow kerfs and a minimal heat-affected zone, achieving extremely high contour accuracy and edge smoothness. The first-pass yield of complex-shaped gusset plates is far superior to traditional flame cutting or shearing. For steel tubes, we use a tube laser cutting system that can automatically rotate the workpiece, completing intersecting line cuts, beveling, and openings in a single operation, providing high-precision interfaces for tube-to-plate and tube-to-tube welding. All cutting paths are directly driven by 3D lofting data, enabling digital blanking with high material utilization and excellent batch consistency. After cutting, workers remove minor dross and conduct dimensional checks to ensure that the geometric tolerances of plates and tubes meet the stringent requirements of subsequent assembly and welding processes.
