Project Description & Technical Highlights
Qingdao Best Steel Structure Co., Ltd. successfully undertook the complete processing, detailing, and manufacturing of the 220kV transmission line structures for the High-end Intelligent Equipment Industrial Park.
As a high-profile municipal power infrastructure project, it required diverse structural designs to adapt to complex urban and industrial terrains. Our engineering and production teams delivered high-precision fabrication for three core types of power structures:
220kV Steel Lattice Towers: Designed for high-load capacity and superior wind resistance, ensuring the stability of the overhead transmission backbone.
Steel Tubular Towers & Monopoles: Utilizing space-saving and aesthetically modern designs, these monopoles were perfectly suited for the industrial park's limited right-of-way (ROW) and urban landscape.
Manufacturing Specifications & Standards
To ensure the highest reliability and longevity of the power grid, all structures were fabricated under strict quality control systems:
Material Grade: High-strength structural steel (GB/T 1591 Q355B/Q420B, equivalent to ASTM A572 / EN 10025).
Welding Standard: Certified welding processes conforming to AWS D1.1 and GB 50205 standards, with 100% Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on critical joints.
Anti-Corrosion Treatment: Premium Hot-Dip Galvanization complying with ISO 1461 / ASTM A123, ensuring a maintenance-free service life of over 50 years even in industrial environments.
Trial Assembly: 100% prototype/pre-assembly was conducted in our factory before dispatch to guarantee perfect match-marking and zero-error field installation.
